Who we are

This website belongs to EntreKIDneurs, a Texas homeschool family business run by Melanie and Justin Vitovsky. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email us at info@entrekidneurs.com.

What this website collects

Nothing you type in. There are no accounts, sign-up forms, or comment boxes here. What we do get is the kind of information almost every website sees:

• Google Analytics tells us which pages you visit, how you found us (a search, a Facebook post, a link from a friend), your device and browser, your approximate location (the city or region your connection comes from; Google Analytics doesn't store your IP address), and a few things you click: the buy buttons, the preview pages, and the questions you open. It uses cookies, named _ga, to recognize a returning visitor. It doesn't tell us who you are. Google may also collect information about your activity over time and across other websites that use its services; here's how Google uses that information.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site running and protect it from attacks.
• Google Fonts supplies the lettering on these pages, so your browser asks Google for it, and Google sees your IP address when it does.

Why we collect it

To understand what's working: which pages parents read, which questions come up, where visitors come from, and whether people who look at the curriculum go on to buy it. That's the whole reason. We don't use it for advertising, and there are no ad-tracking pixels on this site.

When you buy

Checkout happens on Payhip, not on this site. Payhip and its payment processor, Stripe, collect your name, email address, payment details, and billing information, deliver your files, and handle any sales tax. How they use that information is covered by Payhip's privacy policy and Stripe's privacy policy. Payhip's pages run their own analytics and advertising tools, which Payhip's policy covers too.

From each purchase, Payhip shares your name, your email address, and what you bought with us. We use that to deliver your files, answer your questions, and help if something goes wrong. We never see your card details.

To discourage sharing, Payhip prints the email address you used at checkout in the top-left corner of every page of your PDFs. That means anyone who sees a printed page can see it — including the families of any students you print workbooks for.

When you click a buy button, a short code travels with you to Payhip (the _gl= part of the link) so Google Analytics can tell that your visit to Payhip started here. It's an anonymous identifier, not your name or email.

When you email us

We keep the conversation so we can help you. Writing to us doesn't add you to any list. We don't send newsletters or marketing emails today. If we ever start, it will be something you choose to sign up for, and we'll update this page before we do.

Children

This website is written for parents and teachers. The course itself is taught offline, from printed pages; students don't create accounts or give us anything. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Who we share it with

Only the services named above — Google, Cloudflare, Payhip, and Stripe — each for the purpose described, and anyone the law requires us to. We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone.

How long it's kept

Google Analytics is set to keep the detailed record of visits for 2 months and information tied to a returning visitor's cookie for 14 months. After that, only totals remain, like "300 visits in March." Purchase records stay in Payhip for as long as we need them for taxes and customer support. We keep emails for as long as they're useful for helping you.

Your choices

• Cookies: you can block or delete them in your browser settings. The site works the same without them.
• Google Analytics: Google's opt-out browser add-on stops it on every site you visit.
• Your information: email us to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we'll take care of it.
• "Do Not Track": some browsers send this signal. There's no agreed standard for what a site should do with it, and this site doesn't respond to it. The cookie and opt-out choices above do work.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect — say we start a mailing list — we'll update this page, and the date at the top, before the change takes effect.
